Does Sharp have the edge?<\/strong> – According to this<\/a> review on geekc.com’s PDA Geek section, the Sharp Zaurus SL-5000<\/a> is just the PDA I want.
\nRunning Lineo’s<\/a> embedded Linux, it has a small Opera<\/a> browser, and CompactFlash support, that apparently runs the D-Link<\/a> 802.11b card, without a glitch. <\/p>\n

Imagine a small PDA (smaller than a Compaq iPaQ), with Sharp’s excellent TFT screen technology, and a Opera browser with all the functionality of it’s larger cousins, and add to that 802.11b wireless networking. What is missing? Maybe GPRS comms, for when you’re away from that wireless network. Fear not, apparently Sharp has already announced that their next handheld project will be exactly that.
