The headlines are rampant with new product announcements in the 802.11 area. Most are in the 802.11a area, providing up-to 54Mbit in the 5GHz range. With product announcements from almost every major equipment vendor, including Agere Systems (Lucednt Orinoco), Enterasys, SMC, Cisco and Proxim, as well as chip-makers Aetheros, Intel and Intersil.<\/p>\n
