According to this note from europemedia things are brewing on the European WLAN scene. German mobile operator T-Mobile<\/a>, a division of Deutsche Telecom<\/a>, which already owns MobileStar<\/a> in the US (WLAN at Starbucks<\/a> Coffee shops), is planning to launch WLAN services in Germany by years end.<\/p>\n And in Austria, where commercial WLAN is already widespread through WLAN start-up MetroNet<\/a>, the scene might become crowded as local ISP eWave<\/a> is testing WLAN to UMTS roaming with the goal of setting up another commercial service soon.<\/p>\n
