{"id":223,"date":"2002-11-13T17:52:25","date_gmt":"2002-11-13T15:52:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.multiplicity.dk\/?p=223"},"modified":"2002-11-13T17:52:25","modified_gmt":"2002-11-13T15:52:25","slug":"kofi-annans-it-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/krag.be\/index.php\/2002\/11\/13\/kofi-annans-it-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Kofi Annan\u2019s IT challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While I was away in Armenia trying to do my part in bridging the digital divide, Kofi Annan wrote <a href=\"http:\/\/news.com.com\/2010-1069-964507.html?tag=fd_nc_1\">this<\/a> article on CNet&#8217;s news.com<\/p>\n<p>It basically reads as a challenge to the private IT sector to start thinking about the digital divide, and there&#8217;s an entire section about using low-cost, unlicensed wireless technology to deliver low-cost, reliable internet to the developing world. <\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s exactly what we&#8217;re doing over at <a href=\"http:\/\/wire.less.dk\/\">wire.less.dk<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.informal.org.uk\/\">informal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Wow, a public endorsement of what we&#8217;ve spent the the last 6 months doing, and from Kofi Annan no less.
