it’s 2:29 a.m. and, depending on your point of view it’s one of two things:

– very early on a friday that looks to be the start of a very rough and tough weekend, or

– very late on what has turned out to be a very long and tough thursday at work

i’m not sure which is the optimistic view and which the pessimistic. I do know however that i’m soul-searching fto find some time from now until monday where i can get a decent nights sleep. i’m not complaining, just stating that this is as close to a dream come true, a challenge i cannot turn down. the opportunity to, through hands-on work, add to my knowledge of the internet as a global tool of democracy. the touching of something a little deeper than the internet as a cooler, faster, way to accelerate consumerism. maybe even the contact with a foreign culture, a culture less inundated by the need for immediate communication and satisfaction.

maybe i’m just being naive. who cares?

cheers

Tomas

it’s 2:29 a.m. and, depending on your point of view it’s one of two things: – very early on a friday that looks to be the start of a very rough and tough weekend, or – very late on what has turned out to be a very long and tough thursday at work i’m not […]

[7,1

it was a strange day at work today, in more than one way. it was the day when i publicly announced the fact that i’m taking of in mid-january to be part of what the guys at geekcorps have called Ghana II.

3 months of volunteering in the equatorial heat of the Gold Coast. A needed, and exciting break in the tedium that sometimes arises from being a part of the extreme consumerism of daily life in denmark.
