The day after…..
\na 4 a.m. night, a 10 a.m. rise, equals a 4:30 p.m. headache and exhaustion. it’s friday, it’s the first of december and 2 very good colleagues and friends are leaving the office today. in danish that adds up to mountains of beer and piles of chit-chatting, drinking, bestial behaviour.<\/p>\n
it’ll be a long night, but it’s also a good time, when you sit down with colleagues over a bit of alchohol, talk abouit the good times and the bad. get a little closer in person.
\nit’s alos stranger yet because i’m going to africa, and a lot of people are genuinely interested in what i am doing, why i’m doing it, and how i’l get by for another 3 months without my girlfriend. i don’t have the answer. it’s one of those ‘living your dream’ things. the chance to try something else, the chance to unplug from the spoilt
\n, rich-kids life of it in denmark. most of all, the chance to be able to say to myself, with integrity, i did it! i tried it, and wether i liked it or not, at least it isn’t based entirely on conjecture….<\/p>\n
maybe in a few years i’ll look back at it as an extended holiday, and career breaker, maybe it’ll be a turning point in the direction of my life. most likely it’ll be somewhere in between, opening new perspectives, new avenues of thought, and a new kaleidoscope to look at the world through. but under any and all circumstances i will be able to claim, that i did something different. i looked at myself, and saw something good, but also the desire to keep experimenting with myself.<\/p>\n
i need to keep on my toes, because falling into the niceties of life in thew succesful part of society is just too easy, and the fear of sitting at age 70 and thinking to myself, damn, there must be a different way, is very real.<\/p>\n
enjoy life, that’s all it’s good for…..<\/p>\n
