I’ve finally decided to go to this years Reboot conference. Last year was dissappointing, but then I didn’t actually pay, opting instead to help Thomas<\/a> set up a wireless network at the event. <\/p>\n However this years event includes people I know, such as Cory Doctorow<\/a> (I met him last year at Dinner with my friend Howard Rheingold<\/a>), Ben Hammersley<\/a> (on-line acquaintance and almost visitor to our March 2003 wireless networking conference). Also I want a chance to meet up with Tim O’Reilly<\/a>, who Ethan<\/a> has introduced me to (via e-mail), and who has some really valuable opinions and projects on Digital Divide issues.<\/p>\n So even though our idealistic little (involuntary) non-profit start-up can’t really afford the extravaganza of conference visits, I think it’ll probably be worthwhile, and I actually do believe in paying a reasonable price for good value events and items (software included \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I’ve finally decided to go to this years Reboot conference.
